Overview

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back recreates a scene from the movie of the same name. You are on the icy planet of Hoth, and Imperial Walkers are closing in on the rebel shield generator. As the pilot of a snowspeeder, you must eliminate as many of the walkers as possible. The walkers are heavily armored, and it will take a lot of firepower to destroy one, but they frequently display a weak point for a one hit kill. The game is played on a large, scrolling screen with a radar screen at the bottom to help keep track of where the enemy is located. If a walker reaches the shield generator, or you run out of snowspeeders, the game is over. Good luck, and may the force be with you!

Winning Objectives

Play until you run out of lives or a walker gets to the shield generator, either of which ends your turn.
Score as many points as you can before your game is over.
Each player gets 3 attempts.
The AVERAGE of your 3 scores is your total.

Game Controls

Atari Joysticks Suck!

We will be using SEGA Master System controllers for a better gameplay experience.

Flick the RESET switch on the right side of the console to start your game.
DO NOT hit any other switches on the console, as they can change game rules & difficulty.
The directional pad controls your ship.
Button 1 fires your ship's blasters.
